[ Did.. someone try to light Usagi on fire? Or did it accidentally?

Wait, did Usagi talk to Ruby. Was it Ruby. It's Ange's first instinct, but then she wonders if maybe it was someone else, since Mako did mention hearing about more people having trouble with random bursts of fire.. ]

Okay, but you know saying that is just going to make me worry more, right? [ NOW SHE HAS TO WORRY ABOUT PEOPLE SETTING USAGI ON FIRE.. Ange can't allow that!! ] At this rate you're just convincing me that you need a bodyguard.

[Usagi meant it more as an EXAMPLE, no one had actually set her on fire... well, not HERE, people back home had tried more than once, to be sure. But that was neither here nor there. She laughed.]

I don't need bodyguards. [She already has them.] I was trying to make a joke!

[ Sssh, don't call Ange out on how bad her actual sense of humor is.. ]

.. I really am worried about you though.

[ It's said a little more softly, because Ange doesn't want to be pushy. She doesn't want Usagi to feel like she can't do anything by herself, it's just.. ]

We don't know for sure yet how dangerous or safe this place is going to be. And if anything attacks you while you're so tired.. I don't want you to get hurt.

[Her smile became a bit more gentle, her eyes much more mature as she reached out and linked their fingers, giving Ange's hand a squeeze since she knew the other girl would feel a bit too uncomfortable with a hug.]

Thank you, really, for caring about me. Even though I can't sleep, knowing I have people who are concerned about me makes this... easier in a way. I'm not doing this alone, that makes the world of difference to me.

[ Ange accepts the linked fingers and the little squeeze. It's definitely a whole lot more bearable than an outright hug, and she knows that the only reason there isn't a hug in the first place is because Usagi is trying to be considerate of her.

So Ange instead meets the other girl midway, by leaning over so her side is resting against Usagi's own side. Leaning against each other, though not in a full on hug. That much Ange can bear, at least when it's with Usagi. ]

[ Her tone is still soft, like her words are just meant for the other girl, not for anyone else around them to hear. ]

No, I'm not, even when it feels like I am. I am never alone. Because people like you and so many more are all in my heart, now and forever. Even if this place tries to force me to forget, I will remember.

[ Usagi really is too sweet of a person. It's something she proves time and time again - virtually any time Ange talks to her by now, really.

But even as it makes her smile a little bit, Ange instead stares at the waiter as they're approached. ]

Look, there's our food. Time to eat.
