INBOXText / Voice / Video / Action"Hi! This is Usagi Tsukino, sorry, I can't answer right now but if you leave a message I'll get back to you quick as a bunny! Have a nice day!"code credit
[The running has made her flushed, but it doesn't hide the bags under her eyes or the slight shallowness in her cheeks. She does look unwell. Consistently sleeping poorly, if at all, will do that. She could, she knows, depend on being Sailor Moon, but the tiredness is still there once she turns back.]
I... mnn... no... but it's not... not like I'm feeling sick or bad. I just... can't sleep.
[ There's definite surprise in Ange's voice as she asks that question, but it does answer a whole lot about the way Usagi's face looks right now. The other girl just does look like she hasn't been sleeping, let alone sleeping well. ]
But it's not like hardly sleeping is much better. [ Just saying.
Not that Ange doesn't think Usagi herself knows that, but.. what else is she supposed to say in the moment, when she's just worried about the other girl?
There's another brief concerned look at Usagi, but then Ange pulls back, only holding the other girl just enough to support her. The last thing she wants is for Usagi to collapse as they walk. ]
Come on, let's go sit down inside. Maybe getting some food inside of you will at least make you feel better for a moment.
Food sounds great right now, at least I haven't lost my appetite. [Small favors, to be sure. You knew something was definitely wrong when Usagi Tsukino didn't have an appetite.]
What kinda food do they have, do you know? And being with you makes me feel better, Ange-chan.
[ Ange follows the waiter until they're seated, moving to sit down regardless of whether or not Usagi lets go of her arm. It's not like she's going to deny the other the opportunity to stick close to her if it makes Usagi feel a little bit more comfortable - not while Usagi is in this state, anyway.
Even if this might be all Ange can do for her friend, she'll do it. It helps that they're sitting in a booth-style-seat, though in a way older style than back in Deerington, rather than on seperate chairs. ]
Have you asked around yet if anyone knows a cure for sleeplessness on this level?
I've tried some remedies, but no one has really offered a "cure," so much as ideas.
[She leans her head back, sighing, before taking a deep breath.] It... will be okay. I'm sure I'll find SOME way to get some real sleep. Too many people with too many powers for SOMETHING not to work.
[ Ange nudges Usagi in the side - though very, very lightly. ]
That's more like you. I might have to question if you were replaced by an imposter if you didn't show at least some optimism here, you know? [ Since that's what Usagi is so good at, in total contrast to Ange herself. ] I'm sorry that my powers seem pretty useless for helping you in this situation though.
Ah, no... [She blushed, scratching the back of her cheek.] The real test is whether or not they willingly eat carrots and not try to murder whoever is forcing those things on me.
But... I'm sorry. I didn't mean to worry you.
And you aren't useless. This is much more helpful than like... lighting me on fire.
[ Did.. someone try to light Usagi on fire? Or did it accidentally?
Wait, did Usagi talk to Ruby. Was it Ruby. It's Ange's first instinct, but then she wonders if maybe it was someone else, since Mako did mention hearing about more people having trouble with random bursts of fire.. ]
Okay, but you know saying that is just going to make me worry more, right? [ NOW SHE HAS TO WORRY ABOUT PEOPLE SETTING USAGI ON FIRE.. Ange can't allow that!! ] At this rate you're just convincing me that you need a bodyguard.
[Usagi meant it more as an EXAMPLE, no one had actually set her on fire... well, not HERE, people back home had tried more than once, to be sure. But that was neither here nor there. She laughed.]
I don't need bodyguards. [She already has them.] I was trying to make a joke!
[ Sssh, don't call Ange out on how bad her actual sense of humor is.. ]
.. I really am worried about you though.
[ It's said a little more softly, because Ange doesn't want to be pushy. She doesn't want Usagi to feel like she can't do anything by herself, it's just.. ]
We don't know for sure yet how dangerous or safe this place is going to be. And if anything attacks you while you're so tired.. I don't want you to get hurt.
[Her smile became a bit more gentle, her eyes much more mature as she reached out and linked their fingers, giving Ange's hand a squeeze since she knew the other girl would feel a bit too uncomfortable with a hug.]
Thank you, really, for caring about me. Even though I can't sleep, knowing I have people who are concerned about me makes this... easier in a way. I'm not doing this alone, that makes the world of difference to me.
[ Ange accepts the linked fingers and the little squeeze. It's definitely a whole lot more bearable than an outright hug, and she knows that the only reason there isn't a hug in the first place is because Usagi is trying to be considerate of her.
So Ange instead meets the other girl midway, by leaning over so her side is resting against Usagi's own side. Leaning against each other, though not in a full on hug. That much Ange can bear, at least when it's with Usagi. ]
You're never alone.
[ Her tone is still soft, like her words are just meant for the other girl, not for anyone else around them to hear. ]
Someone as bright and kind as you will never be alone.
No, I'm not, even when it feels like I am. I am never alone. Because people like you and so many more are all in my heart, now and forever. Even if this place tries to force me to forget, I will remember.
I know I will. You're all too wonderful to forget.

But she does speak up while they move, especially since Usagi did ask her a question. ]
They have pretty good soup, if you're into that.
[ .. a slight beat, and then, continued a bit more
flusteredawkwardly: ]And, um.. I guess you'd still have my company, even if you wouldn't like soup much..

[She grabbed Ange's hand as they went inside the restaurant.]
For two?
Yes, please!
This way then.

we can probably wrap it here!
But even as it makes her smile a little bit, Ange instead stares at the waiter as they're approached. ]
Look, there's our food. Time to eat.
