If you arrive there and see just a skeleton, then that's me, having died of starvation.
[ .. not that she'll really mind if Usagi is a little late..
Though she might mind it if the other is very late. But Ange is willing to gamble on it, so she will actually be there on time, even if she has to wait! ]
[Probably not the best idea to tease an over-tired person, especially if that over-tired person is the already emotional and hyperactive rabbit, Usagi Tsukino.
There are people staring as she runs towards Ange and without even waiting, she practically slams into Ange to hug her.]
Apparently she's called out a terrible fate over herself. Because Ange already knows what's about to happen the moment she hears that voice slowly growing louder and louder, like some sort of alarm, and yet she can't move her body at all. All she can do is just stand there until the inevitable happens - Usagi latching onto her in that hug. It's a small miracle that Ange manages to remain standing, rather than making both of them topple over into a girls pile. ]
Wh-- [ That slight, surprised sound is all she can force out at first. She isn't even paying attention to the people around them giving them weird looks - instead her attention is turned entirely towards Usagi. ]
A-Are you okay? [ Ange isn't so sure if Usagi seems.. okay.. ] I was just joking, you know..!
I'M NOT LAAAAATE! [Usagi sobbed out, trying her best to calm down but not really... succeeding. It's harder to manage your emotions when you're exhausted. She wipes her eyes and sniffles.]
[ At least Usagi's current emotional state does mean that Ange actually hugs the other girl in return, rather than standing there like some sort of statue with Usagi clinging to her. She moves her hands to rub the other girl's back, hoping it's even a little bit reassuring, even though Ange is well aware that she's not good at this. ]
Hey, it's alright.. I really was just kidding! I would have waited here for you, you know.
[ Usagi is a friend, after all. And Ange is willing to do quite a few things for her friends. ]
[ For a moment Ange still just rubs Usagi's back, trying to make the other girl feel a little better in the realisation, but then she pulls back. Not all the way out of the hug - mostly since she thinks Usagi can still use a hug, even though Ange might not always be the most huggy person - but just enough so she can actually look at the other girl's face. ]
.. are you sure you're feeling okay? You seem a little off, you know. [ Even back when Usagi was making that post. That was the whole reason Ange sent the other girl a message in the first place, after all - because she was concerned about the way Usagi looks right now. ]
[The running has made her flushed, but it doesn't hide the bags under her eyes or the slight shallowness in her cheeks. She does look unwell. Consistently sleeping poorly, if at all, will do that. She could, she knows, depend on being Sailor Moon, but the tiredness is still there once she turns back.]
I... mnn... no... but it's not... not like I'm feeling sick or bad. I just... can't sleep.
[ There's definite surprise in Ange's voice as she asks that question, but it does answer a whole lot about the way Usagi's face looks right now. The other girl just does look like she hasn't been sleeping, let alone sleeping well. ]
But it's not like hardly sleeping is much better. [ Just saying.
Not that Ange doesn't think Usagi herself knows that, but.. what else is she supposed to say in the moment, when she's just worried about the other girl?
There's another brief concerned look at Usagi, but then Ange pulls back, only holding the other girl just enough to support her. The last thing she wants is for Usagi to collapse as they walk. ]
Come on, let's go sit down inside. Maybe getting some food inside of you will at least make you feel better for a moment.
Food sounds great right now, at least I haven't lost my appetite. [Small favors, to be sure. You knew something was definitely wrong when Usagi Tsukino didn't have an appetite.]
What kinda food do they have, do you know? And being with you makes me feel better, Ange-chan.
[ Ange follows the waiter until they're seated, moving to sit down regardless of whether or not Usagi lets go of her arm. It's not like she's going to deny the other the opportunity to stick close to her if it makes Usagi feel a little bit more comfortable - not while Usagi is in this state, anyway.
Even if this might be all Ange can do for her friend, she'll do it. It helps that they're sitting in a booth-style-seat, though in a way older style than back in Deerington, rather than on seperate chairs. ]
Have you asked around yet if anyone knows a cure for sleeplessness on this level?
I've tried some remedies, but no one has really offered a "cure," so much as ideas.
[She leans her head back, sighing, before taking a deep breath.] It... will be okay. I'm sure I'll find SOME way to get some real sleep. Too many people with too many powers for SOMETHING not to work.
[ Ange nudges Usagi in the side - though very, very lightly. ]
That's more like you. I might have to question if you were replaced by an imposter if you didn't show at least some optimism here, you know? [ Since that's what Usagi is so good at, in total contrast to Ange herself. ] I'm sorry that my powers seem pretty useless for helping you in this situation though.
Ah, no... [She blushed, scratching the back of her cheek.] The real test is whether or not they willingly eat carrots and not try to murder whoever is forcing those things on me.
But... I'm sorry. I didn't mean to worry you.
And you aren't useless. This is much more helpful than like... lighting me on fire.
[ Did.. someone try to light Usagi on fire? Or did it accidentally?
Wait, did Usagi talk to Ruby. Was it Ruby. It's Ange's first instinct, but then she wonders if maybe it was someone else, since Mako did mention hearing about more people having trouble with random bursts of fire.. ]
Okay, but you know saying that is just going to make me worry more, right? [ NOW SHE HAS TO WORRY ABOUT PEOPLE SETTING USAGI ON FIRE.. Ange can't allow that!! ] At this rate you're just convincing me that you need a bodyguard.

[ It's a relief, seeing Usagi agree so easily, honestly. (Maybe Ange should've known that food is like a magic trick here.) ]
I'll send you the location for a nice spot I found to eat something. See you there in half an hour?

[Ever the white rabbit, Usagi is perpetually late.]

[ Yes. Her terrible best. Just standing in one spot and waiting while actually not even being super hungry yet is definitely doing her best. ]

You don't have to be sorry for anything.

Why hadn't she realized it was a joke?
Was she seriously that tired?]
S-Sorry... I... I took it too seriously.

They have pretty good soup, if you're into that.

flusteredawkwardly: ]And, um.. I guess you'd still have my company, even if you wouldn't like soup much..

[She grabbed Ange's hand as they went inside the restaurant.]
For two?
Yes, please!
This way then.
